Invoicey Features — AI Invoicing, VAT & Recurring Billing

Explore all Invoicey features: AI-assisted invoice writing, EU VAT-ready fields, recurring invoices, expense tracking, multi-currency billing, and professional PDF templates.

Invoicey covers the whole invoicing cycle, from the first estimate to the final payment. Instead of stitching together a spreadsheet, a word processor and a reminder calendar, you keep quotes, invoices, tax details and follow-ups in one place with consistent formatting and clean records.

The features below are built for everyday freelance work: quick drafting when you are busy, clear VAT handling when you invoice across borders, and enough structure to stay organised as your client list grows. Everything is free — there is no paid plan and no trial countdown.

Use Invoicey as an online invoice generator and PDF invoice generator. Add your logo, client details, invoice items, taxes, and payment notes, then download a professional PDF in minutes.

Every feature, explained

Below is a plain-language tour of how each part of Invoicey works in practice, what problem it solves, and what it replaces if you are coming from a spreadsheet or a Word template.

Invoices and estimates in about a minute

You set up your business once — name, address, logo, bank details, VAT or company number — and Invoicey reuses it on every document. Each new invoice gets the next number in your sequence automatically, so you never skip or duplicate a number, which is one of the most common problems with hand-made invoices.

Clients and frequently used line items are saved, so a repeat invoice is mostly a matter of picking the client and adjusting quantities. Totals, discounts and tax are calculated as you type, and the result is a clean PDF you can download or send by email.

Free AI drafting

If you prefer to describe the job rather than fill in a form, type something like “12 hours of website design for Acme at €60 an hour plus hosting setup” and the AI assistant drafts the line items, quantities and prices for you. Nothing is sent without your review: every field stays editable, and you decide what goes on the final invoice.

EU VAT handled properly

VAT is where many free invoice generators fall short. In Invoicey you can set a VAT rate per line, show the VAT number of both parties and add the wording your situation needs. The cases freelancers meet most often are covered:

  • Cross-border B2B services in the EU (reverse charge): 0% VAT with the reverse-charge note and both VAT numbers on the invoice.
  • Small-business exemptions, such as the French “TVA non applicable, art. 293 B du CGI” or the German §19 UStG statement.
  • Multiple VAT rates on the same invoice, with the net amount, VAT and total shown per rate.

From estimate to invoice in one click

Most paid work starts with a quote. Create a branded estimate with a validity date, send it to your client, and once it is accepted convert it into an invoice in one click. Line items, prices, notes and VAT settings carry over, so there is nothing to retype and no risk of the invoice drifting from what the client approved.

Multi-currency invoicing

Each invoice can use its own currency — EUR, GBP, USD, CHF, PLN, INR and many more — which suits freelancers with international clients. When you choose your business country, Invoicey suggests the matching currency and default tax rate, and you can change both per document.

Payment tracking and reminders

See at a glance which invoices are paid, pending or overdue. Invoicey can send polite reminders when an invoice passes its due date, so chasing payments no longer depends on you remembering to do it.

If you want clients to pay online, connect your own Stripe or PayPal account. Payments go straight to you — Invoicey never holds your money and takes no commission.

Expense tracking

Record business expenses alongside your invoices and attach the receipt, so the numbers your accountant needs at the end of the year are already in one place instead of scattered across email and photo albums.

Privacy and your data

Your invoices and client details are used to run the service and nothing else — they are never sold. Online card payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal, not by Invoicey. You can export your documents as PDF and delete your account and its data at any time; our privacy policy explains exactly what is stored and why.

Works wherever you work

Invoicey runs in the browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to install. The PDF looks the same wherever it is opened — in Gmail, Outlook or on paper — so your invoices always look professional.
